Lyon County authorities have identified the set of human remains found just outside the Emporia city limits last week.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says the County Coroner’s Office has determined the remains are Marc D Nevins of Emporia.
Deputies continue the investigation and are not releasing any more information at this time other than to say there is no sign of any threat to the public.
The investigation began July 16 after a citizen report directing Emporia Police to the 200 block of South Prairie. Lyon County deputies began leading the investigation after it was determined the location was just outside the city limits.
