Details are developing, but an Emporia man has been arrested on suspicion of fishing violations.
Adam Wade Garrett, age 43, was booked into the Lyon County Jail on Saturday on suspicion of interference with law enforcement, fishing without a valid license and taking or dealing in wildlife. Garrett was originally booked under the name James Joseph Garrett out of Burlington, and the original post to the Lyon County Jail roster indicated the arrest was handled by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is now listed as the arresting agency.
Formal charges are pending through the Lyon County Attorney’s Office.
