Over the weekend, a group of area high school basketball players found success in a major tournament in Kansas City.
The tournament was the Division 2 MAYB Summer National Championship for 9th and 10th grade girls, and the ladies representing Emporia High School were Kaylee Dewitt, Audrey Cunningham, Bailey Wiltz, Jayde Aguirre, Maycee Davis and Acelyn Farrell.
Mac Medlock of Burlington, Ava Wilson of Chase County and Bella Bouddhara of Andover and Clair Puvogel of Seaman rounded out the roster.
The team went 6-0 at the tournament and was coached by Reyes Aguirre and Seth Davis.
