Emporia’s online utility payment process will look different come next week.
Monday, the city will be switching over its online system from Invoice Cloud to Tyler Payments, according to City Director of Finance Janet Harouff during an interview with KVOE News Wednesday morning. Harouff says the changeover in providers comes as part of a larger services overhaul over the last several months.
Harouff adds that once the new software goes into effect, customers will need to go online and create a new account.
Harouff says the changeover will not affect residents’ current bills and will not lead to any changes for those who prefer to pay their bills in person via cash, check, or credit card.
Due to the changeover, there will be no transactions conducted between now and Aug. 4. Residents with questions can call the Water Department at 620-343-4244 or email utility@emporiaks.gov.
