Court processes have started for an Emporia man accused of fishing violations.
Following a first appearance Wednesday, 43-year-old Adam Wade Garrett was set for a preliminary hearing Aug. 18 in Lyon County District Court.
Garrett was arrested July 26 and subsequently charged with single counts of not having fishing licenses and taking or dealing with wildlife. He is also charged with two counts of interference with law enforcement.
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks has not given further information about the case.
