Newman Regional Health celebrated a banner night Friday.
The annual Denim & Diamonds Gala and Auction filled the Emporia State Memorial Union Webb Hall and generated over $205,000 with more expected in the coming days. Director of Marketing & Public Relations Kacie Hastings says it was a gratifying and energizing night.
Sponsors snapped up almost all the available tickets before a limited amount of seats were opened to the public. Hastings says the cross-section of interest demonstrates wide-ranging support for the hospital and its mission.
Proceeds will help bring new equipment to the WS and EC Jones Cardiovascular Lab. Also, the event comes as Newman Regional Health continues developing its strategic partnerships with the University of Kansas and LMH Health, as well as ongoing working relationships with nearby hospitals.
Friday night’s activities included dinner, a live and silent auction, as well as a performance by Kansas country musician Logan Mize.
