Emporia’s Street Preservation project is moving into the second phase of work this week.
Chip sealing finished Friday. The city says sweeping and other fog seal prep work will take place Monday and possibly Tuesday, depending on the work flow.
Street Preservation is separate from the city’s Street Rehab and Concrete Street Repair projects also underway. involves 13 street segments, mainly in east Emporia:

• Dorset Dr (6th Ave to dead end)
• Homewood St (300–400 block & Hwy 50 to cul-de-sac)
• Donelson Dr
• E. 7th Ave (1600 block)
• E. 9th Ave (Whildin to Sunrise)
• E. 10th Ave (Whildin to Weaver)
• Sunrise Dr (700–1000 block)
• Waverly Way (700–900 block)
• Harcourt Dr (1000 block)
