Hand In Hand Hospice has received special honors from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Hand In Hand was announced as a 5-star recipient. That’s the highest possible score from CMS. Newman Regional Health says the honor “underscores Hand In Hand Hospice’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to patients and their families during life’s most sensitive moments.”
The rating system is a big part of the CMS Hospice Quality Reporting Program, which uses data from the Hospice Item Set, the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Hospice Survey and Medicare claims data to determine factors like pain management, patient preferences and caregiver satisfaction and thus determine ratings levels. Newman Regional Health says the 5-star rating reflects Hand In Hand’s “outstanding performance across these metrics” and demonstrates “its dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality palliative care that consistently exceeds national standards.”
