Next week, Randee Lee Jones begins legal processes in Lyon County District Court after she was charged with embezzling funds from an Emporia business.
The 46-year-old Jones has her first official appearance Aug. 28. Bond has been set at $25,000.
Jones faces one count of theft, with the financial amount ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. She also has one count of identity theft, which has an alternate count also listed as identity theft.
Jones is accused of taking up to $100,000 from Mel’s Tire and also impersonating owner DJ Eidman between January 2022 and October 2024.
