Part of Kansas Highway 268 in Osage County is getting resurfaced over the next two months.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says K-268 will have a 10-mile resurfacing project involving milling and overlay between US Highway 75 and Kansas Highway 68.
Work could begin as soon as Monday. Work will take place during daylight hours on weekdays and possibly Saturdays through October. As part of this effort, traffic will be constricted to one lane. A pilot car and flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Delays of up to 15 minutes are expected and there will be a 12-foot lane width restriction involved.
APAC Shears of Hutchinson is the lead contractor on this better than $2 million project.
