The MIAA released its preseason poll for the 2025 volleyball season on Friday. Emporia State was picked in a tie for sixth with Northwest Missouri. Nebraska-Kearney is the favorite to win the conference receiving nine first-place votes with Central Oklahoma just behind in second with three first-place votes. The Lopers are the defending league regular season champions while the Bronchos won the MIAA Tournament. The Lady Hornets will be led by Ken Murczek in his third season and finished 17-10 with a 9-7 MIAA record last year making a second-straight trip to the MIAA Tournament. ESU opens up the season September 4 at the San Diego Invite with a true road match at Point Loma.
