A Nebraska man who allegedly caused a lockdown at Council Grove Elementary School earlier this week may be extradited.
Morris County Attorney Michelle Brown says Daniel McAuley is living in the county but is a fugitive from Nebraska on at least one count of domestic assault and Nebraska wants to extradite him for court proceedings there.
council Grove Police arrested McAuley on Tuesday after being seen near Sixth and Main, or less than two blocks from Council Grove Elementary. At the time, McAuley had an extraditable warrant out of Nebraska and was considered as possibly armed, thus prompting the lockdown at the school..
