Unseasonably cool conditions will continue through the Labor Day weekend, and rainfall is returning to the short-term forecast.
Showers and embedded storms are possible Wednesday morning through lunchtime Thursday. The latest projections from the National Weather Service’s Forecast Points information page indicate Emporia could get up to two inches during that time. Conditions should be dry for Emporia State’s football home opener against Minot State at 7 pm Thursday, and they should be dry through the upcoming holiday weekend. Severe weather is not expected.
High temperatures should be in the 70s through at least Monday. Overnight lows should be in the 50s.
Projected rainfall amounts for mid-week follow light to borderline moderate rain across the area early Monday as residents got anywhere from 0.20 to 0.50 inches of rain.
KVOE and KVOE.com will have updates. If you have rain totals, message the KVOE Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply text line at 620-342-5863.
