Two Osage City residents were arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons activity early Friday.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says deputies handled a narcotics search warrant in the 1200 block of Laing in Osage City shortly before 7:30 am. Following the warrant search, deputies arrested 45-year-old Angelique Dorsey on suspicion of possession of paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon and an unspecified warrant. Dorsey was convicted of drug distribution in Jackson County in 2023 and was sentenced to probation afterward, according to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal.
Deputies also arrested 21-year-Hunter Dorsey on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia, as well as unspecified criminal use of weapons.
Formal charges are pending. Wells credited help from Osage City Police officers during this incident.
