Radical Life has big plans as it begins its biggest annual fundraising effort next month.
On KVOE’s Morning Show on Monday, founders Chad and Lindsay Smith and board member Colby Dobson discussed the start of the annual Radical Champions fundraiser — but they also unveiled plans to move into a brick-and-mortar location. Lindsay Smith thanked Life Church for its willingness to offer space the last few years, but she says it’s time to expand.
Few details are currently being divulged, although Lindsay Smith says closing is tentatively set for Oct. 1.
Radical Life focuses on building life skills in addition to other work to address poverty. Chad Smith says Radical Life has evolved from its early days — and its roots in trying to work through the foster care system.
Radical Champions officially launches Oct. 3. Dobson, a participant for the third straight year, says engagement and awareness as just as important as fundraising as the campaign begins.
Thirteen individuals and teams are confirmed with two more slots currently open. Participants are asked to generate at least $1,000 during the fundraiser, which goes into early November.
