The KVOE listening area had some unexpected drying time this past weekend ahead of more rain chances for the first half of the work week.
Rain chances diminished and were eventually cleared as the weekend progressed.
The short-term weather concern is fog. The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 10 am areawide with visibility expected to be a quarter-mile or less in pockets. Drivers need to slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the driving distance between their vehicles and others nearby.
More showers and storms are possible late Monday night into Tuesday, and the National Weather Service has all area counties in a marginal severe weather risk for quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds. Showers and storms may redevelop later Tuesday and again Wednesday before abundant sunshine Thursday through the upcoming weekend. Highs should be in the low 80s Monday and 70s for the rest of the week.
KVOE and KVOE.com will keep you updated on the severe weather situation.
