The Emporia Arts Council is hosting a nationally renowned comedian this week.
EAC Director Dawn Young says she is excited to welcome Preacher Lawson to the Granada Theatre on Tuesday at 7 pm and explains how she got the comedian to come to town.
Lawson rose to fame as a contestant on America’s Got Talent, and has been regularly featured on AGT the Champions, and has built a massive following on social media with 3.2 million TikTok followers. The event is a part of his ‘Dysfunctional Family’ tour, but Young is quick to note that it is a family-friendly show suited for all ages and that bringing more family-friendly entertainment was her vision when she joined EAC 10 years ago.
