Newman Regional Health’s community calendar has two events of note next month.
First up is a Medicare Town Hall, which is Oct. 8. Executive Director of Strategy and Business Partnerships Steven Bazan says this comes at a critical time for people either renewing their Medicare insurance or getting ready for that process for the first time.
The town hall will be from 5:30-7 pm at the Bowyer Community Building and comes at a time when annual notices of coverage are coming to area residents. Food and drink will be provided.
The following week has the annual Wave of Light ceremony, honoring families who have lost babies through stillbirth or miscarriage.
Wave of Light will be from 6:45-7 pm Oct. 15 at C of E Park and coincides with Baby Loss Awareness Week.
