It wasn’t easy, but Emporia High Soccer got the win Thursday night over Topeka High 1-0. The match was scoreless at halftime until Brayden Seiler got loose down the sideline and found Thiago Esquivel who knocked home the game winner. Esquivel says it was a great feeling getting the win and the game winner.

Emporia Girls Volleyball split a home triangular on Thursday night. The Lady Spartans fell to Manhattan 2-0, losing both sets 25-21.
Emporia bounced back to defeat Hayden 2-1 after dropping the first set 25-22 and winning the final two sets 25-20 and 25-16. Emporia is next in action on Oct. 2nd at Ottawa.
