Chalk Fest is returning to downtown Emporia this weekend.
Emporia Arts Council Director Dawn Young says the 800 block of Commercial will be closed from 9 am to 7 pm.
There will be a Kids Zone, food trucks and an art market as part of the overall event.
Chalk Fest comes as the Arts Council has started its brand-new Entertainment Series with comedian Preacher Lawson. That event series continues with Legends of Classic Rock on Oct. 16, while the traditional Performing Arts Series begins with The Rocket Man Show, a tribute to Elton John, this upcoming Wednesday.
