In a battle of traditional powers in 8-man, Lyndon defeated Chase County 68-18.
Both teams traded blows in the first quarter with Lyndon holding a 16-12 lead after the first 12 minutes.
Lyndon would capture momentum when Senior Zach Criqui blocked and recovered a Chase County punt into the endzone to give Lyndon a 24-12 lead with 8:14 left in the second quarter.
Lyndon would ride that momentum to close out the half with a 40-18 lead.
Lyndon’s Head Coach, Michael Massey, attributed to the athleticism of his front three that allowed for his team to find success.
Chase County was unable to find an answer defensively against Lyndon in the second half as Senior Lucas Griffin would score twice on the ground, with fellow Senior James Marcotte adding another score before Sophomore Cameron Weston added a 21 yard touchdown to end the game at 68-18 with 11:53 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Lucas Griffen led Lyndon with 121 yards rushing, and 120 yards passing for four total touchdowns, while Wyatt Griffen rushed for 112 yards for two scores to lead Chase County.
Lebo 46, Hartford 0
Lebo had a fast start and never looked back in a 46-0 win over Hartford Brock Hadley completed 7 of 13 passes for four touchdowns, Brayden Hopkins had four catches for 104 yards and 3 scores. Jaxon Grimmett led the Wolves rushing attack with 14 carries for 67 yards. Lebo improves to 3-1 while Hartford falls to 0-4.
