A notable law enforcement presence was underway for several hours near 11th and State in Emporia.
Law enforcement has been in and near the 1100 block of State for much of the evening hours Wednesday. KVOE News observed officers walking through the above-ground levels of the house, while others have been near the home in question. Emporia Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says the department had a standby presence but did not take anybody from the scene for medical treatment.
Details about the nature and scope of the investigation are currently pending. Police Investigations Capt. Lisa Hayes says more information may be available Thursday
