Saturday was a big day in Cottonwood Falls — and across Chase County, for that matter.
The Cottonwood Falls Music Festival brought Barnaby Bright and Mary Bragg to downtown Cottonwood Falls to perform in front of the historic Chase County Courthouse. There were also several activities in Cottonwood Falls leading up to the music festival, including the Harshman’s Creek Fall Festival, guided tours of the courthouse and a beer garden, courtesy of The Doghouse Saloon.
Other Chase County towns were busy as well. Strong City had its annual ranch rodeo, and Matfield Green had several activities like its annual Open Studios event, along with Tallgrass Artist Residency artists, several musical performances and an appearance by author Sarah Smarsh.
