Emporia Lady Spartans Volleyball competed at the Centennial League Championships, where Emporia went 2-3 at the tournament. Emporia beat Topeka High 2-1 after losing the first set to the Trojans 25-20 and came back to win the next two sets 25-17 and 25-12.
The Lady Spartans would go on to lose the next three matches, 2-1 to Manhattan, 2-0 Hayden and 2-0 to Washburn Rural.
Emporia finished the tournament strong with a win over Junction City 2-0, 25-19 and 25-12 to end the tourney going 2-3.
