Lyon County Commissioners have a brief agenda ahead of them for Thursday’s regular action meeting.
The only items of note will come during the “other business” portion of the meeting, when commissioners will reconsider two items related to the new county 911 center and shooting range that were tabled last Thursday due to a need for further clarification and information. The items in question are a construction engineering agreement with Driggs Design Group for oversight and testing services during Phase 1 of the Range construction, quality of material testing, and building pads for a total of $9,300.00 and a better than $1.5 million bid from KBS Constructors for constructing the shooting range and handling dirt preparation work for the project.
Separately, commissioners may also approve signing a letter of support for Crosswinds Counseling and Wellness as they seek a grant through the Kansas Department of Transportation. Additionally, the appointment of a voting delegate to the KCAMP annual meeting will also be discussed and possibly acted upon.
Weekly financial matters, commission and staff reports and public comment are also scheduled for the session. The meeting will begin at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
