Emporia Fire investigators have officially closed their investigation into a business fire from late last month.
Fire crews cleaned up the fire at Las Catrinas, 1116 West Sixth , on Sept. 28. Echoing prior comments to KVOE News, Fire Marshal Stephen Beemer says there was a component failure in a gas line connected to kitchen equipment to start the kitchen fire. The cause is officially accidental. Damage was limited to the kitchen.
There were no injuries.
