There are two short-term, general zones of water shutdowns in Emporia on Friday.
First will be the neighborhoods of Arundel and Lincoln, both from Sixth to Seventh. Service may be affected from around 7:30-8:30 am.
Second will be Lawrence Street from Sixth to Ninth as part of the ongoing Southeast Transmission waterline project. This shutdown is set to begin at noon and last as late as 5 pm.
Third will be West Sixth from Elm to Lincoln.
