Very soon, the Sertoma Club of Emporia will have its annual fundraising breakfast.
Saturday is the day and the Emporia Senior Center is the place. Club member and spokesperson Terri Summey says proceeds will benefit nursing scholarships at Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College.
Some proceeds also go to Emporia State for general scholarships.
Besides biscuits and gravy, food options include sausage patties, eggs and drinks. Meals will be served from 7-11 am. Residents can find a QR code on the club’s Facebook page if people want to buy $10 tickets in advance for adults. Tickets are also available at the door for $12. Children between ages 4-9 eat for $5. Kids under age 4 eat for free. Dine-in, carry-out or drive-thru options are available.
