Penalty Shot the Difference in 1-0 Soccer Loss to #12 Jennies

#12 Central Missouri converted a second-half penalty kick for the game’s only score in a 1-0 win over Emporia State at the ESU Pitch on Sunday.  Despite combining for 17 total corner kicks, the defenses held on a damp field with Lady Hornet goalie Mackenzi Goen registering five saves.  E-State struggled to generate chances with the Jennies outshooting them 10-4 in the match including 6-3 in shots on goal.  ESU (8-5-2, 5-2-2 MIAA) returns to action on Halloween for a 7:30 p.m. match at Missouri Western.
