Spartan Unified Bowling Hits Road to Lawrence

Emporia High Unified Bowling was in Lawrence yesterday and finished fifth in the 22-team event.  The host Chesty Lions #1 team won with a 726 series with Junction City 2nd and the #1 team from Washburn Rural 3rd.  Emporia High’s Red team finished 5th bowling a 614 series while the Spartan White team finished 18th.  Head coach Andy Battenfeld said the squad battled the lanes a bit playing in a new facility in their first road match of the season.  The Black & Red look to bounce back on Election Day November 4th in Topeka.
