Winter illnesses continue on the upswing locally.
Newman Regional Health Infection Control Nurse Jamie Granado says there have been confirmed cases of influenza A. Granado says illness traffic is about a month ahead of schedule, echoing comments made last week by Lyon County Health Officer Dr Ladun Oyenuga.
Granado says rhinovirus and COVID-19 are also in the community now.
Besides vaccinations, Granado encourages people to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. If you’re sick, stay home.
