The Emporia State soccer team battled Northwest Missouri to a scoreless draw in ESU’s last home match of the regular season on Sunday. The Lady Hornets outshot the Bearcats 15-9 in the match but Northwest had one more shot on goal. ESU had nine corner kicks while allowing just three. It’s the second-straight shutout for E-State with goalkeeper Mackenzi Goen picking up six saves. Defender Peyton Pipes logged 90 minutes at defender for the Lady Hornets. ESU (8-5-4, 5-2-4 MIAA) wraps up the regular season with the Turnpike Tussle Wednesday, November 5 at Washburn.
