Already one of Emporia’s best restaurants, Casa Ramos is about to become one of the nation’s as well.
That’s because the staff of Casa Ramos recently welcomed the crew of America’s Best Restaurants, an online web series whixh travels the country visiting some of the most popular eateries in various cities. Beginning in 2004 at 201 Commercial Street, Casa Ramos has been a staple of the restaurant business in Emporia for over two decades offering quality Mexican cuisine and a family like atmosphere.
When asked what he believes sets Casa Ramos apart from other restaurants and businesses, the “ambiance” of the local eatery was the first thing to come to mind for ABR host J Russell.
Russell also noted the history of the business and its origins as a key reason for why it deserves a national spotlight.
Russell says eateries land on the show by one of three ways, either the restaurant contacts them, it is nominated by patrons, or the restaurant was contacted directly by the ABR team, which is exactly what happened with Casa Ramos with owner Carlos Ramos saying all the thanks goes to their local customer base.
Russell tells KVOE News that appearing on the series can often have major implications for restaurants’ future, noting that each episode reaches a wide and varied audience across the country.
Ramos was encouraged by this statistic saying he hopes their appearance on the show will propell the business forward and help it expand its footprint both locally and beyond.
