An Olpe man was among three people involved in an injury crash in Coffey County on Monday.
The crash happened around 3:15 pm at the intersection of 12th and Wayside, about 10 miles east of Burlington. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by 74-year-old Deborah Kerr of Iola was southbound on Wayside, while a pickup driven by 40-year-old Michael Ratcliff of Olpe was westbound on 12th. Kerr apparently failed to yield at the intersection and hit the pickup.
Ratcliff had suspected minor injuries but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital afterward. Both Kerr and a passenger, 75-year-old Charles Kerr of Iola, were taken to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka with suspected serious injuries.
