Flint Hills Technical College Distinguished Alum Joey LeMay and his wife, Amy, have donated a significant amount to the college’s Advancing Tomorrow fundraising campaign.
LeMay, now the director of operations optimization at Simmons Pet Foods, has donated $10,000 to support construction of the upcoming Advanced Industry Education Center, which will house advanced manufacturing, industrial engineering, robotics, automation and energy technologies once it’s built some time in late 2027 or early 2028.
LeMay graduated from Flint Hills Technical College in 1995.
The gift follows a $2 million lead gift from the Jones Testamentary Trust, a $500,000 naming rights gift from Simmons and a $20,000 naming rights gift from Emporia State Federal Credit Union.
