The MIAA dominated with six teams in the NCAA Central Regional Volleyball rankings released on Wednesday. The first rankings of the year are alphabetical. Joining Emporia State in the rankings from the MIAA are Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma, Missouri Western, Nebraska-Kearney, and Washburn. Concordia St. Paul, Minnesota-Duluth, St. Cloud State, and Wayne State College made the rankings from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference while no teams from the Great American Conference were selected. The tournament champions from the GAC, MIAA, and NSIC will earn automatic bids with at-large selections going to the top five regionally ranked teams. The Lady Hornets are 18-5, 9-3 in MIAA play and head west Friday to face Fort Hays State.
