As IdeTek continues its Internet fiber buildout process across Emporia, the company has announced two events Wednesday.
IdeaTek and Emporia Main Street will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 am at the Main Street office, 727 Commercial. This will be followed by a public information meeting at 5:30 pm at the Lyon County History Center.
IdeaTek says its $14 million expansion into Emporia will lead to speeds of 8 gigabits per second, up notably from prior estimates. IdeaTek is also promising unlimited data, connections without contracts and local customer service.
