Entering Friday night, the Lady Hornets hadn’t lost back-to-back volleyball matches since their first two of the year. ESU kept that streak alive by overcoming a slow start in a 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 win at Fort Hays State. The Tigers torched E-State hitting .429 in the first set but didn’t hit over .158 for the rest of the match. ESU used a two-headed attack on offense with Emma Klett ripping 18 kills and Nyia Anderson picking up a double-double with 17 kills and 24 digs. ESU (19-5, 10-3 MIAA) completes their MIAA “west coast” road swing going for the season sweep over #3 Nebraska-Kearney Saturday. First serve set for 3:00 p.m.
