Emporia State junior linebacker Landon Boss has picked up his second MIAA Football Defensive Player of the Week Award after leading the Hornet defense in a second-half shutout of Washburn in the Turnpike Tussle on Saturday in Topeka. Boss led the Hornets with 12 tackles with 11 solo to go along with three tackles for loss, a sack, and a pick-six in a 45-17 victory over Washburn. It is his second weekly award of the season after also being named the national defensive player of the week back in Week Six against Missouri Southern. E-State wraps up the regular season on Saturday hosting Senior Day against Fort Hays State. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
