New Emporia State women’s basketball coach MJ Baker announced her first National Signing Day as the Lady Hornet head coach on Wednesday. Sarah Yokley will join ESU for the 2026-27 season. The 5-11 guard from Owasso, Okla. missed last year with an injury but led the Rams to the state semifinals as a sophomore shooting 55% from the field and 35% from outside the arc. E-State opens the year Friday at the D2 Central Region Showcase against Wayne State College. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. with coverage at 2:30 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
