A preliminary hearing in a Lyon County embezzlement case now won’t take place until early next year.
Randee Lee Jones was initially set for a prelim this month, but that was delayed to Jan. 23 after Lyon County Attorney Amy Aranda said forensic accountant Kathleen Centlivre needed more time to get and review documents currently under subpoena.
Jones is accused of taking up to $100,000 from Mel’s Tire and fraudulently using information belonging to business owner DJ Eidman between January 2022 and Halloween 2024. She is officially charged with one count of theft and another of identity theft.
