Five Lady Hornets earned conference recognition in the 2025 All-MIAA Volleyball teams released Wednesday. Graduate outside hitter Nyia Anderson was First Team for ESU with 303 kills and was sixth in the league in kills per set. She had 11 double-doubles on the season. Lavra Krizanic was named the Freshman of the Year, the second year in a row a Lady Hornet has claimed the honor. She earned Second Team honors with 226 kills on the season. Boglarka Rady was named Second Team at libero with 443 digs ranking fifth in the league. Setter Brailee Bogle and middle blocker Mia Frisbie both earned honorable mention honors. ESU finished the regular season 21-6 with a 12-4 conference record and is the No. 5 seed in the MIAA Tournament beginning Thursday in St. Joseph, Mo. #24 ESU faces #8 UCO in the first round at 7:30 p.m. The match has massive NCAA Tournament implications with Central Oklahoma ranked #7 in the Central Regional rankings released this week and Emporia State at #8. Nebraska-Kearney is #1 followed by Wayne State College, Missouri Western, and Concordia-St. Paul. Washburn is fifth and Central Missouri is ninth.
