Three Emporia businesses were found out of compliance as part of inspections done last month by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
Emporia’s Daylight Donuts location at 1028 Commercial was listed as out of compliance as part of a routine inspection. Compliance issues included a lack of labels for ingredients and allergens with products going to wholesalers, as well as storage of raw materials and ingredients after boxes of nuts and coffee were stored “in direct contact with the floor.”
Mi Super Mercado, 1324 Industrial, had four violations as part of a follow-up inspection to an administrative order, including storage of raw eggs above ready-to-eat cheese, handwashing sink issues and a lack of hand-drying options in the bakery department.
Tractor Supply Company at 1318 Industrial had no hot water for the women’s restroom handwashing sink, causing a violation during a follow-up inspection.
