Kansas State moved quickly as promised by athletic director Gene Taylor announcing former KSU quarterback Collin Klein as the next head coach for the Wildcats. Klein was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and led K-State to a 21-5 record including the 2012 Big 12 Championship. He’s been the athletic director at Texas A&M the last two years. The Aggies are 11-1 and likely to receive a berth into the College Football Playoff. The Aggies are averaging over 36 points per game this season and over 450 yards of total offense per game. ESPN reports that he is expected to remain with A&M throughout their playoff run. Klein replaces Chris Klieman whom he served under as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator in Manhattan. Klein will arrive on Friday at 10:40 a.m. and be introduced in a press conference at Morgan Family Arena at 4:00 p.m.
