On Monday, KVOE Announced the Area and Emporia Athletes of the Week.
In the Area Athlete of the Week: Allie Kneisler of Lyndon High School took home the honor after she scored 47 points with five rebounds, and four assists in a 65-32 win over Marais Des Cygne Valley on Friday.
Jose Vargas is the Emporia High School Athlete of the Week. The heavyweight went 5-0 in matches at the Junction City Tournament that Emporia won on Saturday. He won four of the contests by takedown.
