Emporia girls wrestling competed Friday and Saturday at the Christmas Clash in Great Bend and placed tied for tenth. The Panther Athletic Center hosted 34 schools, 13 of which ranked in a top ten poll, across the two day event.
The Lady Spartans were led by Yaneli Carranza who took bronze at 145. Alexa Castillo placed fourth in the 190 bracket. Chloe Steele (100) and Sienna Spaulding (105) each finished sixth in their tournaments.
EHS tied with Carbondale-Santa Fe Trail with 116 team points.
Emporia travels to the Olathe West Mixer on Thursday.
