A week remains for the Salvation Army’s annual kettle campaign, and Salvation Army Capt. Mylie Hadden says the campaign is tracking along with the overall goal.
On KVOE’s Morning Show on Wednesday, Hadden says the drive started slow — which is typical — and she expects a big push over the next few days. She says the Salvation Army has tried to make the donation process easy with this campaign.
The Salvation Army Advisory Board will ring kettles at Walmart on Saturday. Kettles are also stationed at Bluestem, Country Mart, Dillons, Good’s Cash Saver, Hobby Lobby and the Salvation Army thrift store.
Proceeds help Salvation Army clients in several ways, including help with rent and utility assistance. The campaign ends Christmas Eve. To volunteer at a kettle, go online to registertoring.com.
