One person was hospitalized after a motorcycle wreck in downtown Emporia on Monday.
Emporia Police Sgt. Lane Doty says the crash happened near Fifth and Market around 8 pm when the rider, currently unnamed, laid the bike down for unspecified reasons. The rider was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
Doty says the rider was not wearing safety gear and the motorcycle was not street-legal. Other details are pending.
