Thick fog is moving across parts of the KVOE listening area Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service has Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood and Osage counties in dense fog advisories until 11 am. Visibility is currently projected to be a quarter-mile at best as the fog continues. Drivers heading east from Emporia, specifically on Interstate 35 to Ottawa, are advised fog may be especially thick in that 50-mile stretch of highway.
If you are driving, slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the driving distance between your vehicle and others around you.
