A hearing in a Lyon County felony child abuse case has been rescheduled for two months from now.
Tuesday morning, Lyon County Judge Laura Miser approved a continuance in the case of 33-year-old Thomas Gene Hinz. Hinz’s next appearance will be at 1:15 pm Thursday, March 19th.
Hinz is facing a single charge of felony child abuse following an alleged physical contact incident with an eight-year-old child on December 10th. The abuse count has an alternate of misdemeanor battery against the same child.
